Flaine is also a summer resort as well. During the summer season (Mid July to end of August) it is a mecca for Mountain Bikers, Walkers, Climbers, Golfers and Motor-cyclists. There is an 18 hole golf course set at over 2000m , an annual Downhill bike race - not for the faint hearted, and graded climbs and walks for all abilities. Because of the twisting nature of the road (30+ hairpins) during the summer months touring bikes make the 30km journey up from the valley to the cafe's in Flaine Forum.

There are also opportunities to go caving, whitewater canoeing along side the simple things like swimming and plain relaxing.

In the summer the nightlife is what you make of it, a few bars and restaurants stay open all year to service the small numbers who take advantage of the mountains in the summer.
